A domestic dispute in Sydney’s West has left a 29-year-old Irish national dead with stab wounds and his 25-year-old fiancé charged with his murder.
Emergency services were called after midnight on Saturday to a home in Watson Rd, Padstow and were confronted with the victim, David Walsh, outside a home with a stab wound to his neck.
Despite the efforts of paramedics he was declared dead at the scene.
Police were told that the victim was at the home with three women when a second man, who is known to the women, arrived and a fight erupted. This male is helping the police with their enquiries.
The alleged killer, Irish born Tina Cahill, was charged with murder on Saturday afternoon and bail was refused. She will front Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
Mr Walsh and Ms Cahill announced their engagement just last month.
Social media reports called Mr Walsh a wonderful father to his three daughters.
